Cancer Chronicles

If using a mobile phone, the landscape (i.e., horizontal) orientation of your phone provides the better experience.

Welcome to my blog on bladder cancer. Looking back, I’m reminded of the title of a Grateful Dead album (“What a long strange trip it’s been”) which more or less describes my experience, now in its fifth month since I first learned I had bladder cancer. I wake up some mornings and wonder what rabbit hole I’ve fallen into? Yet, every cloud has a silver lining, and my wife, who is also my caregiver, best friend and nurse and I have met some awesome people and reaffirmed many friendships in the several months since. So, I invite you to visit my blog if you wish to learn more about bladder cancer. Vietnam War veterans are particularly welcome to “drop by” because my cancer seems to be a belated consequence of my service in Vietnam, and there may be countless other vets of my generation at similar risk. Welcome to my cancer chronicles.

Cancer didn’t bring me to my knees, it brought me to my feet.”
